Chanel Commercial

Chanel and their French music supervisors from My Melody chose Daft Punk for this short film. A great choice and exciting news for fans.

Still, I wanted to explore how an original composition might sound. One tailored to each scene while conveying the same emotions as the Daft Punk track.

For me, music should form a close symbiosis with the visuals, enhancing emotion through rhythm and sound design. I chose an upbeat synth sound and driving beat to match the film’s energy, with moments of tension and surprise reflected in the score.

The film’s constant motion and variety were key inspirations for the dynamic flow of the music.
