Considerations went into the composition: Chanel and their music supervisors from "My Melody" in France chose music by the band Daft Punk for this short movie. This is a great decision and of course good news for all Daft Punk fans!

However, I love challenges and asked myself how a piece of music composed specifically for this commercial might sound, one that could convey the emotions of the individual scenes just as well as the Daft Punk song and perhaps be a little more tailored to the respective scene in the film?

I believe that Music should enter into a close symbiosis with the moving image. Music conveys emotions – in combination with targeted sound effects. I therefore opted for an upbeat synth sound and a striking beat that additionally supports the ongoing action of the film. The film also has moments of suspense and surprise, which should be conveyed by the music.

The people in this film are constantly on the move. The film is never monotonous, but full of variety. It was important to me that this fact was reflected in the music.
